Growing bigger

The day after we came back from Germany we had Michael's 4 months - checkup with the pediatrician. He told us that Michael is just fine. He weighed 14 pounds 2 ounces. The nurse measured his lenght but Mama doesn't think she did it right and so we won't know for sure until the next appointment. Anyway, this time Michael took the shots a lot better, I guess it helped to give him baby Tylenol beforehand. The doctor also said we could try spoon-feeding him some rice cereals, but Michael doesn't really seem interested in it yet, so we'll wait and try again probably some time after Christmas.

Michael's newest accomplishments:

  • He can take out his pacifier and PUT IT BACK IN! Most of the times now it even goes in the right way.
  • He can roll over from his back to his belly. He loves that, however, after a while on his belly he starts crying because obviously he has forgotten how to roll unto his back again. Good thing that Mama and Daddy are around to do it for him!
  • He sleeps in the big crib in his own room now! Oh what a difference that makes in how much sleep Mama gets. Awesome! The Eble crib is already disassembled and ready to go back to Indianapolis for the next Baby Eble.
  • He bathes in the big bath tub now, and even plays with his toys in there! So much fun to splash around!!

  • He managed to kick the posts of his play mat so hard that the whole thing collapsed on him. His reaction though was more a complaint about the inconvenience than being scared or suprised. I can already see how his curiosity will get him in trouble later in life!
